They got stuck in snow

According to the news: "the family had turned onto a side road and became stuck in the snow." "they had intended to take Oregon 42, the usual route from Interstate 5 to the south Oregon coast, but missed the
turnoff".

I seriously question the family's decision to take a 7 month old and 4 year old baby to the Oregon Coast in the middle of a winter storm, with only "a small amount of baby food". Children unfortunately pay for what often times could be a fatal decision their parents make for them.
