Any recommendation for Orca Island?

I think we will cut the BC part and increase the WA part. Last year we did quite a bit of driving on BC 1 all the way to Hope. We originally are thinking after Crater Lake we would go up to Canada at Osoyoo, BC and drive to Vancouver - but the section between Hope and Vancouver we already did it the 2nd time last year.
After looking at more details on the portion driving from Vancouver back to Portland, we realise we have to give more time in WA. If so, may be we can rearrange our schule and squeeze a day for Orca Island. Any tips to share?
