As suggested by caml01 earlier, the anti-China  policy since Trump's office might have something to do with this: it speeded up the splitting among Chinese Americans. Some really are frightened about being put in concentration camps...

It is an irony that those identify themselves with Americanness and reject their Chineseness are the most insecure.
