I agreed with your above comment.

My point was, it wasn't as innocent a senario as mikewu liked to portray it. In such a relation, the man can't afford to fail his career either. The woman wouldn't be as forgiving if he does. So, there is tension underneath the peace.

And many women are more than house wives in potentials.

Just let talented women pursue their careers. Not all women like that either. Statistics will take care of the situation and creates some balance.
