How on earth, a full dynasty of the largest nation that stretched across three centuries is sufficiently defined by POETRY alone? ! Other golden eras of China or other civilizations always involve more defining factors.
I always view Tang poetry as a blessing, a spiritual sky arching over all Chinese people indiscriminately since then, including those denying it, and trying to discredit it - they don't know what they are doing.
