我也曾為一位故友寫過詩，但寫得平静, since I wrote it several years after she passed away. In my poem I said: "I will never forget you,  but I will not again think about you." Sounds like a contradiction, but it isn't. It is the way to let her go, as if allowing a pearl sink into the riverbed. It is always there, yet no need to pick it up from time to time to play with as to generate more sadness.
