This piece happens to be one of the Van Goghs that I hold the most precious. It looks rough but in essence not less than a Chardin. I came across a simple but accurate comment on this piece in here WXC. I think I should give the commentator the credit: 

"拿静物花儿来讲，所有花瓣都是有极其微妙色彩迁移作内容，以笔触作机理完成的。。"
