柴曲不像俄羅斯性格。

I used to like Tchaikovsky when I was a youth and listened to his 6th symphony "Pathetique" a lot. Now I think his music is a bit overly pleasing, rather sentimental and "boneless ".

Shostakovich is closer to what I think of as the Russian character (more complex, thick and "oily"), but I am no one here to judge.
