An "almost" love story I like is the one between the two main characters in the movie The Matrix.  It is even less "almost" as a minor hidden ingredient in the whole plot. But eventually the faith in this love enabled the woman to bring the man back from death. An ingenious design. 也有義大於情，而最终成就情之真的意思。
