藝術有傾向公衆的，也有傾向個人的。我很喜歡貝多芬但不太喜其最著名的第九交響曲

precisely because it has more of the atmosphere of public art like sculptures by Michaelangelo. Yet I love Beethoven's 5th symphony since it is closer to personal feelings even though it is a symphony as powerful as the 9th.

Musical scores are abstract symbols with no clear marks for 公家話 or 私人話 . It is the quality of the mind and the vision of the composer marking the distinction.

Being overly public or being overly private can be a drawback for art's sake, though in different ways.
