A fact (事实) is a partial truth. It can serve to provide truth or to eclipse it.

翠绿 always use a fact to eclipse truth. It isn't a matter of education or logic but honesty in argument.

 
Let's be honest, the truth is ,public urination among young children is a common practice in China and it is subtly accepted or even encouraged by their parents. 
In the west, it may also be a fact, but never a common practice. The truth is, it is a cultural taboo.
