僅從物理條件上說，會不會僅是因為中國太古老了呢？

Years back, a co-worker of mine, a young woman of half Korean and half German descent, said that China was too old hanging around (in today's world). It was a casual chat, nothing political, no offence at all, yet what she said made a minor echo in my mind: A very old nation can be viewed that way by the average mind. If that mind happens to be a Chinese one, it would be impatient with its own existence.
