I made use of the terms 勢,數, 必然,偶然 mostly because they are in the common vocabulary. At the end, I prefer the term 必要.
What is necessary (必要) isn't always inevitable(必然). What is necessary means it is a proper function (功能) of the universe, as I quoted, for instance, the function of making life and bringing its intelligence to its pinnacle. But this is too deep a function for the human mind to comprenhend. Here, I prefer the word "function" (功能) to "meaning" (意义). Too hard for humans to see what is meaningful for the universe, but we can more and less appreciate the variety of functions we observe in it. If you look through my last post again, you won't find the word "意义".
The world of the necessary is open. A necessary may or may not become history. Therefore, you still need to create its history by making it happen.
