I think there are some un-tellable thing (mao-ni) about the wife. A divoice case lasting 4-5 years is very unusaual. My personal feeling is the man fell into a trap set by the woman or she had some very unreasonable demands, or she want to destroy the man financially.

From the story, I think she was very disappointed because the hu*****and went to China, all the court decisions in her favor became null and invalid. Her ex is having a good life in China. She went to the church to find some support and seek spiritual balance because the child and the house became (financially) un-bearable burden to her. She does not have the courage to give up the life in US. The child and the house became the last spiritual support to her. Althought she will be very disappointed again later in her life. Bible has told us this in many places if she is a true Christian.
