山色侵雲还惹眼，华光乱影更生波。

世间沟壑诚难晒，桌上空杯似未挪。

The text is a Scots-language poem written by Robert Burns in 1788， but based on an older Scottish folk song. 

 

Should old acquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind ?

in the days of auld lang syne

 

For auld lang syne, my dear,

for auld lang syne,

we'll drink a cup of kindness yet,

for the sake of auld lang syne.

 

And surely you will buy your cup !

and surely I'll buy mine !

we'll take a cup of kindness yet,

for the sake of auld lang syne.

 

We two have paddled in the stream,

from morning sun till night ;

the seas between us Lord and swell

since the days of auld lang syne.
