The poem puts culture in Nature (大自然) as its context as to observe how a culture grows from the gift of Nature. It is a philosophic contemplation. It is meditative.
The film, like I said, is conclusive from the very beginning. It isolates a specific culture and aims to discredit it. All it presents is a 嫌貧愛富 mindset .
If the film and the poem are connected in some way, they are both responses to the issues of the era, but they are very different responses. Which does not mean they are each other's agreements.
