The Moving Shadow

 

The Moving Shadow 

Night is descending 
My shadow is walking away from me
Farther and farther

Her legs are longer and longer
As if one stride would cross over
The dark sea --- and
What could be at its other end then?

Head evanescing,  and then
neck, and then shoulder . . .

Till our interfused soles
