又和大家见面了。这次分享汇演的服装是一个巫婆的舞裙。这个舞裙本身没有什么技术，只是背后的心思比较值得分享。每次汇演都是我先定歌曲，然后舞蹈老师定舞蹈动作。虽然歌曲和舞蹈种类可以给我舞裙的启示，但是舞裙的制作一直会受到舞蹈动作，能买到的布料的影响。在确定舞蹈动作的时候，正值鬼节。历鬼骷髅巫婆天天在孩子嘴里叫。一天晚上我睡觉之前，在想舞蹈动作的处理的时候，突然想做一次巫婆来跳这个狐步舞。主题是一个老巫婆用魔法启动一个人偶和她跳舞。想要一种诡异但是优雅流畅舞蹈意境。具体达到了没有呢？还是要看观众的评判。
舞裙制作的时候，虽然没有时间做，但是不妨碍我经常跑布店。在布店看到闪闪的灰布，白布和红布，觉得这太酷了，一定要做个舞裙。结果一拖再拖，又是等到只有两天的时候，才开始。最后，时间紧张地连裙边都没有缝。我自我解嘲地说，巫婆，不就是这个样子吗?要的，就是这个效果。
舞蹈从选曲到服装设计，我都投入很多的心思。为了寻找灵感，我一般会听很多歌曲，也看各种视频。当我听到Kylie Minogue的那首成名金曲，我特意去看了她许多的演唱视频。非常震动，多么性感，有致命的吸引力，有看头的女人。我非常希望她的音乐可以传递力量到我的舞蹈中。
Foxtrot dance has the characteristic of smooth, long stride, and usually the dancers play the character as the Broadway stars. Our choreography was formed around Halloween time. My kids were still in the full spirit of ghosts, skeletons and witches. One night when I was thinking about my dance moves, the idea came to me as playing a witch. In the dance, I was an old ulgy witch who revived a puppet to dance with her. It give the lyric of the song "Feeling Good" a different interpretation. One of the lady at the event said to me, "A person wearing such a creepy mask must have a great sense of humor." Yeah, I was trying to go for a scary appearance yet with great style and smooth dance.
As the event approaching, the time to make the costume literately ran out. I just cannot trade the time of practice with dress making. However, it did not stop me from running to fabric store to get all kinds of pretty fabrics. When I saw the shinny satin of grey, white, and red, I have envisioned two dresses for my dances, one for foxtrot and one for tango. In the end, I only have two nights to make the two dresses. I finished one quarter of the tango dress, then had to give it up. The dress for the Foxtrot is not even hemmed. But I think it fits the character of the witch. If it does not, I have no time to fix it, anyway. Haha.

大家可能已经知道了，tango的舞裙没有完成。我预想的舞裙是在布店看到很心动的布料的那一刻，就定型了。可是最后在舞蹈汇演的前2天，才真正有时间去做，最后只做了4分之一。给大家留给念想儿，下次再看吧。As you have read it, the dress for tango is not finished. Each time I try to make a new dress, I went though my files of dresses that wow me, the ones hitting my heart as the beat of music. I also reviewed many dance videos to see how well different type of dresses flow with movements. When it comes to the time to actually make the dress, I have to find the right fabric, the shade, the weight, the feel, all contributing to the characteristic of the dress. Most of the time, the dress will change with the availability of the fabrics. It is a very head wrenching experience. It hurts, yet exciting. After I chose the tango music by Kylie Minogue, I went ahead to see many of her music video. What a sexy, talented lady! I hope her energy can channel into my dance though music. Gladly, I can use my old tango costume.

伦巴舞没有什么特别故事。但却是我最满意的一次伦巴舞。用的是夏天做的裙子，不过是加了一些水钻。这回还做了头饰，完整了。My best rumba so far. The dress is made in the summer, but I later added more stones to decorate it.
