Depends on the look you want to achieve and the dress code

1. if you want to be safe and bit on the conservative side

LBD with bold statement necklaces or bangles (not both)

2. if you want to look young and hip

jeans with sequin top and matching shoes

3. if you want to dress to impress

red (or other color you like) cocktail dress with understated jewelry and accessories

4. big no-nos for me:

1)ethnic clothing, for example, QiPao, no offense, but I have not seen anyone looking good in them, mostly out of place compared to others.

2)baring too much skin, if you want to show off your legs, wear a conservative top; if your arms and shoulders look the best, hide your legs

3)too much jewelry

4) messy hair and runny makeup
