Aloe juice as face mask?

Has anyone tried fresh aloe juice for facial care? Fresh as in freshly squeezed from aloe leaves. My Mom swears by the effect. She got me started on it. I have had my hu*****and purchased two pots of aloe from Home Depot already :-). But I am wondering whether anyone here has had experience. Thanks.
