and keep the spine straight, as well, so the head is not tilted up (or down). Planks can be done by placing forearms on the mat (probably not on the floor), and our shoulders need to be directly above our elbows. Or, we could use our hands to hold the planks, but this could be too hard on our wrists, and it's better not use thick mats.
