Then you should for sure think about it a bit more, know what you want.

I just got married and wanted a simple wedding with a small group of friends, so I "planed" it.

But both side of our family wanted to do something back home, so we went back and had a family dinner in my city and a huge banquet (completely planed by his Dad) in where his parents live.

So, if you are in a similar situation, make sure you talk to the family as well as knowing what you want. Wedding is not just about the bride, at least for Chinese families; it's a show for the parents and families as well!
