A walk around Picture Lake is pleasant, although in August, be prepared for insects.

Sunset over Mt Shuksan reflected in Picture Lake is a class view of the Cascade. You always see tons of photographers waiting there at sunset time for their best shot. Many have camped there days/weeks.
