Personally, i like Russian teachers, way better than ave. American teachers. They are more strict, which is very good for building up a solid foundation for any forms of dancing, even if you don't do ballet later.
My Russian ballet teachers would stop me walking in hallways, if I did'n keep my back and neck straight, haha :))
