I used to organize sky watch clubs in my kid's

elementary school with another parent who's a pioneer in AI field.  We took the kids of gr.3-6 to an observatory in the astronomy dept. of  a univ. nearby. A bunch of post doc. will show the kids what to look, explain, and how to calculate the distance and identify stars or planets.

BTW, i'm not a physics/astronomy major neither, was very interested in college though.
