MS Excel can import external data from your backend databse

I think MS Excel should be the simplest one for you.

1) Go to the top menu bar of an excel workbook/Sheet1.

2)locate and click on Data, then...

Data -->Import External data -->Import Data or New Database Query

The difference between Import Data and New Database Query is that New Dababase Query requires creating ODBC connection to your backend database in the Control Panel of your computer.

Import Data will open any kind of data file, rather than a database.
