For your case:

140K - 90K = 50K

Two kids in different schools, usually they will first count 10 hours/week work study, and then plus loan (since you have high income, I think you will not get the zero interest loan), the rest of money, they will give the grant.

Different schools usually do differently. Hopfully you can get the grant as much as you can. That's free money.
