Which state are you at? You should at least make a consultation with Criminal Attorney. And you should also contact the court fee legal services if cost is the concern.
The Misdemeanor's penalty will be different state by state. If your state requires a max 3 years jail time for this kind of conduct, then your GC process will be definitely hurt. You must dismiss the case. Good Luck.
