Just go ahead to the court first in 10 days, that is what is normall called hearing, the judge will tell you what charges will be file against you, the least and max penaty and to see if you are mentally capable enough to go for the trial and even can assign a free lawyer for you. The bottom line is if the victim does not want to testify, then they can not convict you. Search from internet for similiar case, i.e. a redskin player fought with his wife, it ended up with no cooperation from his wife with the prosecution, they had to drop the charge. Then there was no trial at all. Work it out with your wife, take if easy.
