请教：猫可以养在户外吗？（在加州）

女儿和我都喜欢猫，可是lg对猫过敏。我们在加州，四季如春，后院也大，打算加一个shed, 猫可以在那里面过夜，吃喝，女儿可以和它在后院玩耍。不知道是不是可行？不让进家的猫会不会容易跑丢啊？先谢了。
