Urgent Help needed - I really love a puppy

I really love puppy. Recently we went to a breeder’s home and chose a very tiny and pretty male Morkie puppy. I really love it. However, the biggest concern to me is both me and my hu*****and work full time. Including commuting time on road, we have at least 9 hours outside. Is a little puppy can be left along for so long time? What about if I buy 2 puppies so they can play together when we are out? The breeder only have 1 female and 1 male and I prefer to 2 males since I am really afraid that they give me a litter before I fix them. Do not tell me adopt an adult because I only love small sized breed and do not like to adopt any adults before I know their disposition or bad habits. Just like bringing up a child, I still prefer to stay with them since childhood. Please give me any suggestions and all recommendations will be truly appreciated.
