沉香是什麼?
沉香樹或沉香木因受到風災、雷擊、蟲害等天然環境因素，或因人為造成的傷害，導致被病菌感染，因感染後樹本身所分泌的樹脂而結成【沉香】，這期間須經過數十年到百年甚至上千年，才能結成【沉香】。
沉香結香並不像產於印度的檀香樹，檀香樹在長成時，其檀香樹本身自然會分泌出檀香油，年份越高的檀香樹，木材中檀香油脂含量越高。
所以我們可瞭解沉香樹或沉香木只有結出【沉香】才有價值喔!
What is the agarwood ?
Agarwood trees are damaged by natural environmental factors such as windstorms, lightning strikes, insect pests, or human-induced damage, and resulting in infection by pathogens. The agarwood trees due to the resin secreted by the tree itself after infection. The tree produces a dark aromatic resin, called aloes or agar. It needs more
than hundreds or thousands of years to produce the resin embedded wood.
The agarwood trees are not like the sandalwood trees in India. When the sandalwood trees grow, the sandalwood trees naturally secrete the sandalwood oil. The elder sandalwood trees contain more sandalwood oil in the wood.
Therefore, we can understand that agarwood trees can only be valuable if they have the resin embedded in the woods.
