I personally think elderly parents expecting their adult children make such sacrifice are incredibly selfish. Adults in their 40s and 50s have their jobs to worry about, have their own kids to take care. Interrupting their life and career to take care of elderly parents is destructive. Love can only last if we pay it forward, not backward.
