In addition, Japan should know that China is trying to prevent a conflict from becoming a war since it is not its best interest in short term.  However, if a war is really needed for long term interest, China does not need anyone else to provide intelligence and weapons.  China can strike Japan 180 degree from from space, sky, sea and under the sea. If Japan only hold any advantage in navy (not sure),does China will fight with warships?
