Make Wind
A Navy term for creating required conditions to sustain flight operations. A carrier must have a certain wind strength and direction moving across its flight-deck for aircraft to take-off and land. This means that an aircraft carrier may have to speed up, slow down or alter course to make the proper wind-speed required for safe flight operations. Generally wind speed should be approximately twenty knots across the flight deck from bow to stern.
减速降落尽管可能对其原有设计有出入,但在实际航母操作中是常有的。
