Navy and Air battles do count. But the land battles were much more important and suffer more sacrifice. I think it is easy to understand this, right? This is especially true when US and UK were requested to open the second line but kept refusing to do that for very long time (years). Both sides contributed and one side contributed much more. But due to the media power, western media usually do not tell you the whole picture though FACTS are crystal clear. In FACT, westerners are extremely ignorant. They knew very little about the USSR contribution in WWII and only knew the Day which was one and half year later than the Stalingrad Campaign. The Stalingrad Campaign was the WWII European field turning point. Of cause the victory of WWII is the combination effort of both sides.
