Casualty reduction could only be achieved by utilizing every high tech toy they've got. Ground troops only come in after complete destruction of target of interest.

USMC and US Army chain of command is well aware of this potential threat. There are numerous feasible alternatives available: LINK16, FORCE NET, other advanced C4I network etc. DoD spent billions each year to Defense contractors on such military innovations, There are always counter-measure and even counter-counter-measure in development in EW fields
