对 原文 中 的某些 论述 作 修正/补充

原文中 的 “1980年开始研制超音速客机的喷气发动机” 可能有误， 应该 改为

“1980年（？）开始研制 喷气客机 的 大型高旁通比 （huge high-bypass) 涡扇 （turbofan） 发动机”

超音速客机，在1980年以前， 英法 联和研制 过 Concorde ，前苏联 也研制过 TU-144，此后，再也没人研制过。

维基百科 《 纽曼  Gerhard Neumann - Wikipedia》 有以下记载：

“A major success for GE was his guiding the design and development of the huge high-bypass turbofan jet engines (or simply called "fanjets") that now power the largest commercial and military cargo aircraft. These include the TF39, CF6, and (in 50/50 collaboration with SNECMA^[16]) the CFM56.”

开始研制 喷气客机 的 大型高旁通比  涡扇  发动机 的时间，可能也有“问题 ？”  ，纽曼 在 1981年 1月1日就退休了。

“Neumann retired from GE on January 1, 1980, after 32 years of service”

是不是 他“退而不休”，仍然积极参与 GE 喷射客机 涡扇引擎 的研发？

“He remained active in retirement, until he developed leukemia and died on November 2, 1997”
