...few years, Russia was our 死敌. East German was NATO's 死敌 for almost half century.  It's alway bad idea for a crazy neighbor having Nuke, especially a dying one.  The only long term 死敌 I can see is China and Japan. Even this one, you don't know what will happen if China becomes #1 and Japan keeps comming to lick your butt?
