Thank you! What is DA? Is DA same as Prosecutor?

Thanks for your response.  When you mentioned "talk to the DA before the arraignment", do you mean on the first hearing date, before seeing the judge I will be given a chance to talk to the prosecutor (what is DA? same as prosecutor?)

Then if DA agrees to plea down, I will explain to the judge and judge will sentence accordingly?
