it requires not only high IQ, but very high EQ as well (emotional quotient: which includes but not limited to: self management, stress management, time management, people management, emotional controls, and emotional calmness etc) to be successful. Because it is very stressful, you not only have to deal with law, you have to deal with the clients, your opposing counsels and your colleagues or partners etc. if you think you have good IQ and good EQ, then go for it. i have seen smart lawywers who can't make it because they can't handle the stress from people.
