false accusation of Shoplifting

My wife was falsely accused of shoplifting, although the store (Lord&taylot) admitted they were worng, we have not received any sincere oppology and any compensive offer. If we want to go legal route, what kind of attory we should consult and what kind of case we could have. ANy advice is appreciated
