Question about Sexual harassment

My friend's hu*****and involved into a sexual harassment issue. She totally got lost on what should she do.

Her sister's daughter stayed with her family for many years. The girl is 18 now, recently reported to the police that my friend's hu*****and sexual harass her in the past few years. Police immediately put him into the jail, and took their two young children away from them since they think that my friend could not protect her children.

Now, her hu*****and has to stay in the jail for 8 years............. She is trying to help her hu*****and, but her lawyer said there is no way to reduce the years or anything.

What can she do? Her children are just 6 and 3. Her hu*****and is in jail, and her children are in somewhere.............

Anyone knows something happen like this?
