首先谢谢你的热心。第一个问题：我们交的450美元的支票对方还没有存，我老婆想把它cancel了事，我觉得不妥。如果legally对方不应该还50美元的申请费，那么他们可以用file credit report等手段来解决问题。是不是这样？

第二点，Small court claim 是很有意思。不过个人去诉一个公司，是不是风险比较大？ 对方一般会派律师出庭，如果自己败诉，court费得自己出（不知是多少？），是不是对方律师费也得由败诉方出呢？

虽然在美国多年，但对法律程序基本不懂，涉及到法律问题就两眼一摸黑，问得都是太基本的问题，就别见笑了。
