you can make a STOP PAYMENT

Call you bank right now tell them you had misissued that check, and you want to make stop payment. You need give them the check #, payable to whom, and Amount.
you need a free for that: $25-30 dependes on your bank.

Ask your bank first to see if the check has been cashed out or not. you can make stop payment only when the check still not been cashed out by payee.
