1. First, he has to file a paper in the court and use legal process service to server you. He cannot give you the paper by himself or mail to you.
2. After you get the paper, you have about 30 days to response. The deadline is on the paper. You MUST respond it.
3. The court will set up a hearing to determine temporary child custody and support. You can request an emergency hearing if you want to. you should get child custody and half his income, plus 50% % child support from him.
4. A long time waiting period, can be a year or two
