no way the doctor's office will ask you to get the authorization, because insurance company won't give it to you.
in real practice, sometimes the doctor will not even try get pre-autho depends on what type insurance you have. think about how many similar case they have everyday.
the reason is it may take more than three month to get it prove. so the doctor just file the claim with his documentation to get paid.

you will get older fast than normal person. try to take easy and the problem will be solved.
