2. Qustion: 这房东太差了，该如何对他呢？(要求房东保证我的roomate是女生，（我也是女的）房东毫不犹豫就答应我了，还写到了lease里。Then 房东不遵守合同....

你的帖子中有言 "甚至考虑要起诉他..."
除非你是地方撿查官(或聯邦撿查官)你"不能"起诉他 !
況且這是民事官司.....
(2)房子是他的，他當然有權租給誰 ! ( your so called lease is not a contract, it does not maen any thing)
(3)Most important, you are very lucky, your land loard is willing to return your deposit. A lot of time he can just keep it, because it is you refuse to continue this leasing agreement, not him.
(4)Of course, he should keep his word ! but in legal world it does not mean anything ! Sorry for this .




I know some examples that the court usually protected the tenants. One example: One landlord rent their room to one tenant. But tenant has no job, he didn't pay the rent fee. The landlord let him move out. But the tenant need one recommand letter from landlord. Landlord think the tenant is rude and unbelivable, so he rejected to write this letter. Then tenant sued the landlord. Do you know what happens? Tenant won. He don't need to pay rent fee for half year. What do you think it?
