need Help from STP.

in April 2004 I got one bill statement from the hospital, which had service on Dec 26 2002. so I called them and found out they had wrong SSN number so the Insurance didn't pay. so I told them the correct SSN and they re-claim it, but my company has changed new insurance company in June 2003, the old insurance company didn't accept any claims.

I was in the emergency room on Dec 26 2002, and had a lot services on that day. but all other statements have the correct SSN and processed by the insurance company. and only this service got the wrong SSN. I don't know why, and I don't know what should I do. the hospital let me pay the bill $500. if they sent me letter half year ago, maybe old insurance company still pay the bill, but after one and half year, I just got the letter. ( I didn't move to new address and have new telephone in Nov 2003)...
