child care credit under IRC sec. 21 can not be used if you elected to participate in a flexible spending plan setup under IRC sec. 129.

you can either have a deduction (the money you put in the flexible spending), or a credit, but not both. no double dipping allowed.

so for next year, you can think about which one is better for your family and elect only one of them. if you are not eligible to get the full child care credit, then it might be better to have the deduction.
